This night is unique in time.
Some will say Each night is unique, you fool!
People like that are fun.
They party hard
and keep you from unending sadness.
But most nights are the pattern this defies.
Principal over principle. Unexpectedly rough.
Lonelier than we imagined. Those nights are those nights.
This night is good.
This night is unique
because we knew it would come
but now it is here.
